[Tilecache] getting tilecache 1.4 working...

I'm trying to get tilecache working for the first time and I'm having some
issues.

I've got the standalone web server running and
http://localhost:8080/1.0.0/basic/0/0/0.png returns a tile.  But I can't
seem to get the URL for openlayers correct.

I'm trying:

            layer = new OpenLayers.Layer.WMS( "VMap0", 
                    "localhost:8080/", {layers: 'basic', format: 'image/png'
} );

But that doesn't seem to work.  There are no requests to the standalone
webserver :-( Any suggestions?
