[Tilecache] To delete tiles within a certain extent

Hi list,

is there a way to delete all the tiles of a set of levels falling into a
geographic extent? I intend something like

tileclean.py <url> <layer> <zoom start> <zoom stop> <bbox>

We are tiling a lot of global service and we are running out of disk space.
What I would like to do is to selectively remove tiles of some ocean areas
that not contain meaningful information for us. Alternative ideas?
