I've considered this multiple times. In the past, I've combined TIleCache
and MapServer/GDAL to do that, but adding the support to TileCache
wouldn't be unreasonable. I would recommend some kind of flag
to make sure that people don't accidentally hit the untiled stuff
without being aware of it.
