Those are just warnings. The fact that GNU tar fails on this file
is a silly mistake; the tarfile itself is valid, and the errors in
question are just noise. (I believe that someone even filed a bugfix
for this for Ubuntu, though I won't promise it.)
I'll repack the tarball on a non-Mac machine anyway, to fix this,
but in the meantime, you can just ignore these warnings.
