I've got my eye on an affordable ice hockey game (the Toronto Marlies, a 
minor league team) for that Saturday night.  Cheapest tickets available 
are $10 each, and they play on the Exhibition grounds, downtown.  (note 
the Maple Leafs host Edmonton that same night but obviously too much $$).

If there is interest, what would be fun is to finish our work day and 
hop on the subway and go to the game.
