is there a /etc/ld.so.conf.d/grass.conf  file on your system,
containing /usr/lib/grass/lib  ?

if so, are there really files in /usr/lib/grass/lib or has that
been moved to e.g. /usr/lib/grass64/lib  ?

has ldconfig been run (as root) ?
