FYI, I don't plan to upgrade gdal to version 1.7.0 in unstable ppa yet. There 
is a serious bug that has been found  in 1.7.0, we'll have to wait 1.7.1. 
There are also a few build issues. I would say that ubuntugis-unstable will 
stay with 1.6.3 for a month again.
