[Ubuntu] Updating a package (How to?)

Alex,
I'm not sure if you are still trying to repackage spatialite but in case:
Debian GIS has updated the supported version of spatialite to 2.4.0rc2
you can check the code out using svn:
svn co svn://svn.debian.org/svn/pkg-grass/packages/spatialite/trunk spatialite
