[Ubuntu] sip module and qgis

Hi,
When trying to use python-qgis, I get the following error message at 
qgis startup:



Impossible de charger PyQGIS.
Le support python va être désactivé.


Traceback (most recent call last):
   File "", line 1, in
RuntimeError: the sip module implements API v8.0 but the qgis.core module requires API v7.1

python-qgis-common-1.6.0-1~maverick1, python-sip and python-sip4 4.11.2 
under ubuntu 10.10.
