[Ubuntu] gdal 1.9 dependency on libdap10 is making me crazy

On a fresh xubuntu 12.04 , I have qgis 1.9 and gdal 173, with no 
problems.  If you have gdal 1.9, from where?  Compiled yourself?

It is NOT from this depot:
