[Ubuntu] QGIS - canvas flickering patch

Hi, I have packaged QGIS 1.8 [1] with patch fixing very annoying canvas
flickering (for more see QGIS dev mailinglist).

I am using this patch for several months. Is it possible to include it in
ubuntugis ?
