For the Debian GIS team I've proposed a policy based on the Debian Med
and Debian Perl team policies. The proposed policy for the Debian GIS
team includes a section about Ubuntu GIS.
I'd like hear if and how the Debian GIS policy can help document best
practices in the use our shared infrastructure (the git repositories
mostly).
You can find the policy in the Debian GIS website repository at:
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-grass/website.git
For the time being I host an HTML version of the policy on my server:
http://linuxminded.nl/tmp/pkg-grass-website/policy.html
The "Common Git repository structures" section documents a recommended
layout of the git repositories with ubuntu specific branches, the "PPA
for Ubuntu" section is about the UbuntuGIS PPAs specifically.
See also the thread on the debian-gis list about the proposed team
policy: https://lists.debian.org/debian-gis/2013/12/msg00003.html
Kind Regards,
Bas
