PS. The grass package in Debian could use a new (co-)maintainer that
actually uses it to be in a better position to decide its future.

I put off working on the grass package because it was badly maintained
for some time, but had to act for GRASS 7 and the breakage this
introduced in the GDAL GRASS plugin which is my primary concern for
grass. It must not hinder the GDAL transitions. Nor must it hinder
QGIS, my second concern.

So, is anyone willing to take up maintenance of the official Debian
grass package? I'm not serving its users very well.

Kind Regards,

Bas
