Laura updated on very successful Open Source GIS workshop at Newcastle University last month. It is good to see strong interest in Open Source GIS from many universities now and this trend will rapidly increase.

We welcome participation from all interested for building research collaborations.
5. Next meeting
Many expressed desire to change the timing of the meeting to 13:00-14:00, so that more people are able to attend the monthly meeting and to plan last Monday of every month for the meetings (so people have it in the calendars' in advance and can join if possible ).
No Meeting for December because of Christmas holidays.
