[OSGeo-UK] Fwd: OSGeoUK - IRC

Hi Mike,

Thanks for sending this around. I think it looks like a good plan, though
I'm trying to work out what the benefits would be to companies wishing to
sponsor the local chapter.

I had previously assumed that sponsors could piggy-back on the OSGeo:UK
stand if we sponsored events, and have their logos nice and visible in that
and any other publicity material, however since most members of the group
feel that there are better avenues for publicising the group, I'm not sure
what incentives we can offer instead.

I'm open to any suggestions, but I'd like to get that side of things clear
before really pushing a sponsorship drive.
