Hi All,

Thanks very much for all of your replies.

I am certainly learning some new things in this thread!

I just wanted to remind everyone we are focusing on QGIS specifically rather than OSGeo in general.

I'm leaning towards Windsor rather than Maidenhead for the reasons already mentioned about other meanings of "maidenhead".

I think Edinburgh might also be an option, given they have a history of QGIS user groups (https://ukqgis.wordpress.com/category/user-groups/page/3/) although there is the question of whether they are Scotland or UK. (h/t to the West Lothian question, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Lothian_question).

Anita - is this your list of user groups: https://qgis.org/en/site/forusers/usergroups.html#current-list-of-qgis-user-groups

And if so, will Scotland get a go to choose a name later on, separate to England?!

Sorry to complicate matters!

Best wishes
Nick
