Hi Paul,

That's an awesome initiative and I'd definitely like to help as a volunteer.
I have some experience from organising FOSS4G Bucharest in 2019 and being involved in what was supposed to be FOSS4G Europe 2020 in Latvia. It has been years since I've been more active in the community, and I'd like to start giving back again. I'm in Nottingham, but maybe I could attend Leeds if stars align.

Kind regards,

Cristina Vrinceanu

Hello everyone,

I've been asked to email out to the list with an exciting update on our
work to host an upcoming FOSS4G Europe conference right here in the UK.

I've been working with committee members and people from the wider OSGeo
community for a few months now and we are hoping to express our interest in
being hosts at a meeting taking place tomorrow evening at this year's
event.

This is a really exciting opportunity and whilst we still need to have our
bid accepted and sort out a lot of details, I for one am really excited to
welcome people to the UK.

We anticipate the event being in the southwest and I'm currently looking to
put together a small team to work with myself to make this conference a
reality.

If you'd like to be involved I'd be really grateful if you could reach out
to me and let me know so I can add you to my list.

I hope you have a fantastic conference if you are in Mostar this week and I
plan to be in person at the conference in Leeds in October if you want to
catch up.

Thanks,
Paul Wittle
