Hello,
Already use R for GIS, but want to develop your skills?
I'm running two GIS courses specifically designed for social science
researchers, in partnership with InStats. These aren't generic GIS
courses – they're built around the questions you actually need to answer
and the data you actually work with, with an opportunity to ask me
specifically about your work.
Advanced R for Spatial Analysis
This seminar provides an in-depth exploration of advanced spatial
analysis techniques using R, aimed at enhancing the ability to handle
and interpret complex spatial data. Participants will gain practical
skills in spatial joins, buffering, point-in-polygon operations, and
more, equipping them to conduct sophisticated spatial research effectively.
Spatial Statistics in R
This comprehensive seminar introduces participants to spatial statistics
using R, guiding them through essential techniques for analyzing
geographically referenced data. Led by Dr. Nick Bearman, attendees will
gain practical experience with tools like GeoDa and learn how to
interpret spatial patterns and relationships, enhancing their research
methodologies.
“I love having a workbook to go through, it’s how I learn best. Also,
perfect balance between presentation and practical work.”
Harriet Ann Patrick, PhD Researcher, University of Sheffield
