Thanks to everyone who attended the Committee Meeting today.
We discussed the potential of running FOSS4G:UK 2026 in Leeds this year,
using a similar date and format to FOSS4G:UK 2025. We already had 4
people volunteer to be on the LOC (Local Organizing Committee). Tom and
Nick additionally volunteered to be on the LOC so we decided we are
likely to be able to go ahead. This is not confirmed yet, and Al will be
arranging a meeting to discuss just FOSS4G:UK 2026 and decide whether to
go ahead then. Keep your eyes on the mailing list for more details!
We still do need volunteers for the LOC, so if you are one of the 7
people in the survey who said they might be interested but needed more
information, please do reach out to us. We are very happy to help people
who might be new to the role and want support!
On that note, the OSGeo:UK Members Survey 2026 is still open. If you
haven't filled it out yet, please do!
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1jp9HNiTeTlrWzlNItF1_TYqUScLcgIw_mn7zFyMrvcQ/edit.
The survey will be open until 27th Feb, this Friday.
Our next meeting at the end of March or beginning of April. Watch this
space!
We also had various other updates. The full notes from the meeting are
available at

you are interested.
If you have any questions or queries, please do feel free to ask, via
the list, or to osgeouk at gmail.com or directly to me nick at nickbearman.com.
Best wishes,
Nick.
