We have two spaces, so we need to have an election. Their bios are included below: ==== Juan Ginzo I lead Data Science and MLOps at News UK, and I also founded GeoJam, a practitioner community focused on GeoAI and applied geospatial technology. Over the last couple of years I?ve been getting increasingly involved in the open geospatial community through events, workshops and work around GeoAI and Earth observation. I?m also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, where I?m Secretary of the Space Technology Working Group. That has given me some experience of helping organise and support a professional community alongside my technical work. I?d be very happy to contribute to the wider work of the committee, particularly around GeoAI, open-source tooling, community engagement and events. I?d also be happy to take on the newsletter. A bit more about my background here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/juanginzo/ ==== Steve Karmeinsky I am currently a Director of OSM UK, and also on the British Computer Society Council and Executive Committee of the Internet Society UK [ISOC UK] and the Programme Committee of NetUK (a techie conference for anyone involved in UK infrastructure i.e. ISP, telco, mobile, wireless etc). My LinkedIn profile is https://linkedin.com/in/stevekennedyuk I have been involved with Geo for quite some time (I worked for Cellnet in the late 80's developing frequency planning tools i.e. where to place cell sites, using GIS software and very expensive [at the time] OS maps). I've kept my foot in the door ever since. I'm the son of a Holocaust survivor (Auschwitz, Mittelbau-Dora and Bergen-Belsen) and give talks about his life and fight for reparations and help with organisations such as the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust. ==== Aderaw Tsegaye I am an active member of HOT mapping initiatives and a researcher. Here is my LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/in/aderaw-tsegaye-3221222a5/ My HOT page/user name is: Aderaw Tsegaye https://tasks.hotosm.org/contributions/projects/?mappedByMe=1&action=any Research gate: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Aderaw-Aniteneh ==== Voting primarily will be done at the OSGeo:UK AGM on Monday 12th October in Leeds. If you are not attending in person and would like to vote, you are welcome to vote via email. Please email osgeouk at gmail.com list up to two candidates you would like to vote for. The email you use will be checked against the mailing list, so please make sure you use the email that you are registered on the list with. Emails must be received before the AGM starts on Monday 12th October, and the deadline for voting is 3:30pm UK time. We are still establishing the process for this so please accept my apologies if things don't run quite as we would hope. We will have a different voting process next year! If you have any questions, please do email me (nick at nickbearman.com) or this address (osgeouk at gmail.com) and we will do our best to answer them. Best wishes, Nick.
