On behalf of the entire GeoServer 3 team, I wanted to reach
out personally to share the news in case it went unnoticed:
GeoServer 3.0.0 is now generally available.<br>
<br>
This is the release the crowdfunding campaign set out to
deliver, and it is the moment your contribution pays out. The
platform you helped fund is now shipping on a current,
supported foundation: JDK 17 and Spring 7, modern raster
processing with ImageN, reinforced security, and a rebuilt
administration interface with refreshed documentation. It is
released together with GeoTools and GeoWebCache, making this a
full ecosystem milestone, and for most deployments the upgrade
from 2.28.x is straightforward with no changes to the data
directory.<br>

You can download GeoServer 3.0.0 directly from <a

None of this foundational work is the kind that wins a feature
vote, yet all of it keeps GeoServer current and dependable for
the years ahead. </div>
<div>That a community came together to fund it, and saw it
through to delivery, is a meaningful example of how open
source can sustain itself when its users choose to invest in
it.<br>
