just a note: Call for participation in program planning:

33. IGC - International Geological Congress - now with focus on Geoscience.
"The Scientific Committee invites all Geo-scientists to participate in
planning the
 programme of the 33rd IGC Congress."

Around 8000 (!) people are expected. Obviously OSGeo will be
present as well :-)

Deadline for program suggestions is apparently end of Aug 2006 (!).

I have added the event to the the Event Timetable template
