This sounds like Gartner group. I don't know of any communities doing
this sort of thing. It seems aimed at business that need to create a
buzz or legitimize a position, technology, or product.
I would turn this around in two ways. First is that we should be a
source for data for these reports. GDS should come to you guys an ask
for the data. Second, this shows that there are consumers for such a
report and it looks like the community has some of the expertise, so
why not write your own? In the web today, publishing starts with a
link to the home page. We can get as good a reach as GDS and
Gartner, just by being a source of information. If you want to take
this route, why not start something up in the wiki and put a note out
to the discuss list?
