John Close & Co. have submitted the attached, and I met with him this
morning to discuss.

You can read his commentary in the document, but the basic idea was to
remove the gradients and some other minor nits that are offensive to
graphic artists, printers, T-shirt-makers, web page designers, etc.

In removing the gradients, he changed things to keep the 3-D appeal --
that is the most noticable change.

We should spend a little time at tomorrow morning's meeting discussing
this.  Things we agreed that might have to be changed include:
  - different shades of green (we probably want something more
"electric" than "mint")
  - lessening the 3-D effect (via different shadings)
  - removing the tag line (we really aren't using it)
  - where should the compass be positioned, relative to the text body?

(He is going to also do up a black-background version today, I will send
it out when I get it.)
