September 7, 2006 - The Consulting Center for Geographical Information
Systems (CCGIS) has taken a Principal Membership in the Open Geospatial
Consortium, Inc. (OGC). This level of membership enables CCGIS to
exercise a voting level of involvement in OGC's Planning and Technical
Committees.
For CCGIS, a specialized consulting company for interoperable Open
Source software architectures, the commitment to actively collaborate
with OGC confirms the corporate strategy to focus on interoperability in
all solutions and services provided by the company. The engagement will
also enhance the link between OGC and the Open Source Geospatial
Foundation (OSGeo). CCGIS CEO Arnulf B. Christl, who is also a member of
the Board of Directors of OSGeo, will help to establish and maintain
communication between the organizations.
