Fresh content

Folks,

the content on the front page is showing its age.  With the FOSS4G
having just happened, I was thinking there must be something fresh we
can put onto the front page?

Keeping fresh content on the site home page is key in making people come
back to the site and foster a community around OSGeo.  Is anybody
working on fresh content?  Also, can I be of any assistence with it?
