Apparently 109, though some of those are pretty bogus.

Total subscriber count is 14144, but that only represents 8814 unique
addresses since lots of people are on multiple lists.

Some noteworthy lists:

  - osgeo discuss and announce are each about 700.
  - grass-users and gdal-dev are both about 1000.
  - mapguide-users: 750
  - mapserver-users: 1800
