Guys,
I think "piggy backing" off the international "infrastructure" is a smart thing to do wherever possible. I understand that this is what the other local groups have done so far. Thanks Tim for forging ahead on this!
Cheers

Subject: Australia OSGeo chapter wiki page
I've added some detail to the wiki page Shoaib set up:
http://wiki.osgeo.org/index.php/Australia
I used as guidelines the requirements as set out in the OSGeo Local
Chapters page: http://osgeo.org/content/chapters/guidelines.html
If everyone interested would like to add their details and any
comments/corrections to what's there that would be great.
I'd like to move this discussion over to the osgeo international mailing
list over the next few days. If you're not subscribed, you can find it
here: http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/www_international-discuss
As far as a face to face informal meeting for Sydney goes, I'd like to
propose Tuesday evening (2nd Jan). Who's interested, and what part of
town suits best? I previously proposed somewhere in the Rocks, but if
moving it N/S/E/W would be better, let me know.
Regards,
Tim Bowden
