 Song,
 sorry for the delay in my answer but I think I have now a proposal which
 can let you use a X Display from the processes in your R !ServiceProvider.

 As we sometime need a X Server Display to run our processes, why the ZOO
 Kernel main configuration file don't simply include the definition of the
 display to use from the process. This way, before runing a process, which
 need to access a X server (which could be defined in the zcfg metadatafile
 corresponding of this specific process for instance), ZOO Kernel will take
 care about setting the DISPLAY environment variable.

 Is this can be enough to use processes definined in your R based
 !ServiceProvider ?

 Let me know and I will do this small modifications in the ZOO Kernel
 source code if it seems relevant to you.
