Hi Luca,

There were some experiments achieved with R back in 2010.
You can see a example service code in that old email:

There are also more recent exemples in the MapMint services source code
https://github.com/mapmint/mapmint/blob/master/mapmint-services/classifier/service.py
So you can obviously use rpy2 for your Services to deal with R

If you mean writing ZOO Services using the R language directly, this could
be very interesting but what benefits would you see to use such R support,
instead of the rpy2 method ? Is this about functionality, or performance
maybe ?
Could you please give us a concrete example in which R support would be
needed or better than using rpy2 ?
