Paul,
I agree, table comparisons suck. So does democracy. But is there a 
better/achievable alternative?
I'm hoping you don't say "Make people work it out for themselves".
And yes, performance shootouts like the WMS shootouts are great, but a 
large amount of effort and not likely to be created for foss4g 2010.

How can we take a first step, which helps system architects select 
technology, without them having to repeat all the research themselves?
