[Conference-europe] blocker dates, date collisions, agit, ...

Hi Jachym,
thanks for checking back, this is really helpful. We organize a full OSGeo day at AGIT every year since 2006, traditionally on Friday. So this will bind some resources and obviously all attending AGIT will not be able to come to FOSS4G-E. But the overlap is probably not so big anyway, is my guess. Regular attendees will typically not go to two events in a row either so moving the schedule by a few days would only help those more involved folks who would want to attend both (like me and maybe one or two others). We might get a better idea how many this would be if we ping the FOSSGIS Talk list, maybe you can do that (not sure how many Germans are aware of this list).

Cheers, Arnulf

Hi,

it was announced, that FOSS4G-Europe should take place in Como, Italy,
around 7th July. Official invitation from Maria will follow, but till
this happens, some fine-tuning should be done. There is AGIT
conference (could be important for German-speaking people) on 8. - 10.
July and so on. We will try to shift the date a little bit, but are
you aware of other potential collisions? What about potential
attendees from German-speaking countries, is overlap with AGIT big
issues for you?

Thanks

Jachym
