[Foss4g2008loc] Extend deadline for Workshop/Lab submissions

I agree with the following:
 
1. We must move the deadline by at least 1 week (Closing date 11 May 2008)
2. It is very difficult to navigate the conference system in place, especially when not used to hacking and cracking. 
3. We tried uploading the template on the WIKI as well, without success. The WIKI also only support PDF uploads.
 
We have invited all proposals submitted thus far to complete the submission template and to provide the workshop committee with the required information to make a decision. Under track policies (http://conference.osgeo.org/index.php/foss4g/2008/schedConf/trackPolicies) the templates are available in all 3 formats for people to be able to submit.
 
In conclusion - can we get approval from the LOC to move the deadline date for workshop and lab submissions? If approved can we send out another bulk mail informing the community?
