[FOSS4G2016] Tagline (slogan) FOSS4G-2016

Till, Marc, 

 

We discussed the 2016 tagline last Friday.

Marc proposal was "Join us..." (to be followed by any appropriate theme.
location etc)

 

However, today came this slogan to my mind: 

"FOSS4G - Building bridges in Bonn"

 

It refers to :

- our effort to build bridges between developers, users from all kind of
domains (government, healthcare, safety, asset management etc.), commercial
companies (some of our sponsors!), other open source communities (e.g.
Python) , NGO's

- bridges across the river Rhine (which is on our logo as well)

- bridges across continents (it's a global event!)

 

plus: the "Triple B" (Building Bridges Bonn) has a nice alliteration in it
;-)
