[fusion-dev] Improving selection handling using OL vectors

I think this is a good idea.  My only concern might be how to determine the threshold for 'massive'?  It can't be just number of features ... a single feature can also be too massive for IE.  It might get quite expensive trying to determine that threshold by counting nodes in each feature though.
