[Gdal-dev] unresolved externals for OGR in Windows

Can anyone help me with the following problem linking
with OGR under Windows.

Version of GDAL:  gdal-1.2.0a4

My app is linked with gdal_i.lib. 
I successfully called functions from GDAL (i.e. GDALOpen() ), but when
I added a call to an OGR function, I get unresolved externals for all
the OGR functions(69 in number).

I have analyzed the gdal12.dll and all the stubs for the OGR
functions are there. 

I would appreciate any help,
