[Gdal-dev] ogr2ogr

Greetings,

I can't seem to get the hang of the -a_srs parameter of ogr2ogr.
I couldn't get the EPSG version to work at all, but did get WKT to work,
until I pointed it at a different PostGis server and now it is back to
creating tables with 32767 as the SRID instead of sought after 4269.

How/where does ogr2ogr validate and use the -a_srs parameter?

I am sure I am doing something wrong...
