For now we don't know if/how r.out.gdal and gdalwarp compression issues 
are connected:

FW: It might, or might not be. It is hard to know without analysis.

So, maybe there is a defect in r.out.gdal independent of GDAL issue or 
maybe not.

If there is, then rather fix it than document it, if possible.

If there isn't (ie. GDAL is the culprit) - document it and wait till 
it's fixed in GDAL.

Too litle known to decide now.
