[Geodata] conceptual question: OSGeo Data Project?

To date, as far as I know, there are no
"OSGeo Data Projects" that have graduated
incubation, or that are in incubation.

Has there been any discussion of any
existing projects going into OSGeo
incubation, to become an OSGeo Data Project?

While it is a conceptual question, my
asking is based on something more than
casual curiosity. I'm in the initial
stages of trying to get a Project Steering
Committee(PSC) formed for the Degree
Confluence Project. While having a PSC
is only one element that is considered
for OSGeo project incubation, it made
me 'wonder about the future', and whether
something such as the Degree Confluence
Project, which consists of both data and
the website used to display/manage the data,
would be the type of thing that might
become an "OSGeo Data Project".
