[Geomoose-users] Want Maptips for group folders and layers

Jim,

With a group you can specify a tip attribute like this:
<group title="Misc." expand="true" tip="Information about this folder
goes here">

With the layer you can specify a tip, help icon or metadata icon. The
tip is a maptip versus the help and metadata icons are hyperlinks to
another webpage. Here would put all three on a layer:
    <map title="USGS Gaging Stations" default="true" tip="This layer is
visible at a 1:1,500,000 scale">
       <file>/ms4w/apps/GeoMOOSE/maps_statedemo/usgs/usgs.map</file>
       <meta>http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis</meta>
       <help>http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis</help>
  </map>

With this said anything is possible if you were to dig into the
javascript code and add the behaviour you want or hire a developer to
add the functionality you want to the GeoMOOSE base code.

Hope this helps,
Brian

Subject: [Geomoose-users] Want Maptips for group folders and layers

I want to use maptips to help users know how to better use the web site.
In particular I want a maptip to briefly describe the folder or
contents. I probably could link to a help page from the table of
contents but not finding examples. Any suggestions?
