[Geomoose-users] Charset encoding for Windows 1256

Hello,

I was able to solve similar (but I am not sure if the same) problems with
saving all the data in Postgresql database and perform conversions there
(client encoding) before sending it out. There seems to be some limitation
of some AJAX functions, I think it was getHTTPObject affected in a way that
it can only return UTF8 data successfully.

I spent a significant amount of time researching this and it is not a
primary Geomoose failure, neither it is a Mapserver's one (calling it
directly the output was normal in my case too), it even worked in Firefox if
I recall correctly, but not in IE.

Hope this helps.
