John,

The only way to get to wrapping a a word count would be to add your own wrap character to the data.

There have been a lot of different discussions on the MapServer list on this topic. There is no real easy way to work the problem, especially with the support of Truetype Fonts in the mix, where symbols can be character, etc.

Use dan's answer for the second one . . .

The angle should be in Degrees. Don't remember which direction though.

hi guys,
i have 3 problems:
1. how do you break long label into, like 2 words per line. i used
WRAP " " but it only breaks at every space.
2. In the search for parcel by name, the "name" field in the attribute table is in upper case. This means that the user has to enter only capital letters in the search textbox otherwise it can't search for it. Is there a way that i can change the CASE of the seach item in the runtime so that it wouldn't matter the what case the search item is?
3. What is the syntax if you want to set LABEL ANGLE to some field values in the attribute table?

Any ideas about any of these problems are welcome.
Thanks

John
