[Geomoose-users] Feature requests and a Tip

Hey Brent thank you for the feature requests and the tip...

Here's something you might want to look into for 4/5...

You can actually do "dependent" layers in side of GM2 right now AND use mapserver "layer" levels ... for example...

<map-source name="labels">
<file>all/labels.map</file>

<layer name="county"/>

<layer name="city"/>

<layer name="street"/>
</map-source>

<map-source name="shapes">
<file>all/shapes.map</file>

<layer name="county"/>

<layer name="city"/>

<layer name="street"/>
</map-source>

Then in the <catalog>, to implement "requires..."

<layer title="Cities" src="labels/city:shapes/city" status="on"/>

<layer title="County" src="labels/county:shapes/county" status="on"/>

Or to implement mapfile level layering...
<group title="Labels">
<layer title="City" src="labels/city"/>

<layer title="County" src="labels/county"/>

</group>

<group title="Streets">
<layer title="Labels" src="labels/street"/>
<layer title="Lines" src="shapes/street"/>

</group>
