Hi Dan.

The 'map server dependency' refers about the capability of the client
software to work without requiring a specific map server (like UMN
MapServer). Some clients do work only with UMN MapServer as basis, and
although they can load OGC services, they do need UMN MapServer to do it.

So, GeoMoose is not dependent on the map server, because it can operate with
any map server software.
