[Geomoose-users] Scalebar measurement in Demo

The scalebars are generated by MapServer and the measure tool is done
within GeoMoose.

I know GeoMoose does some trickery to get semi-accurate measurements in the
awfulness that is the web-merc (3857) projection.

It looks like MapServer is using the web-merc coordinates directly as
"meters" to generate the scalebar.

I am not sure if anything can be done to resolve this short of using an
appropriate local projection (and thus sacrificing compatibility with the
web-merc based tile sets).
