[GeoNode-users] Groups and Group Categories

Dear all,

I am not sure I understand the Group Categories concept. is there a user
documentation on it (I looked but could not locate one)?

Basically my geonode instance has several groups (with potentially several
individuals in the group) .

Some of these groups are affiliated thus when they upload a data, they
would like to give permission to the affiliated groups.

Is there a possibility to have these affiliated groups inside a category
(or a grouping of some sort) so that they can give permission using that
category/grouping and not try to give to each group individually?

Hope my question makes sense.
