[GeoNode-users] Geonode installation: Tomcat version

Hi Matthieu,

current geonode uses geoserver 2.17 which requires Java 8 or java 11

Tomcat 9 should work with Java 8, so it should be fine to give it a try:
http://tomcat.apache.org/whichversion.html <http://tomcat.apache.org/whichversion.html>

Further the Docs suggest to use NGINX as a frontend server which passes requests to python
further proxies requests to geoserver (which is run by tomcat).
