[GRASS5] Jpeg2k II

Thanks for the information on Jpeg2k, now another question...

How is using Jpeg2000 for web apps?  I know I need a browser plugin, but
that¹s not a problem,  How well does it work for a large map area...

Say I want to do something similar to google maps and have an image that I
can zoom in on and move around in by dragging it with my hand?  What¹s the
popularity of using Jpeg2k?  Are there pros & cons?
