Subject: cannot install cygwin GRASS on XP operating system

Platform: WindowsNT/2000/XP
grass obtained from: CVS
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources
GRASS Version: 6.0.2 I believe

I downloaded the CD version of the cygwin from the web (today is may 21, 2006). I had installed this on an NT operating system and it worked. I have an XP operating system laptop and the installation did not work. I double click on grass61.bat and nothing happens. Thanks for reading....I'd appreciate any advice...
