Xterm on solaris2?

Dear Grass users,

I have just complete compiling grass4.1 on Solaris 2.2 with
GNUc. Except for few programs, it went well. BUT...
if I start grass4.1, the first screen appear, I can respond
but the second screen is not visible (all black). 
After checking my environment, my TERM is set to xterm. 
It looks like my xterm is not what grass expected...


Does anyone have a clue?
